I am an only child who grew up as a latch key kid. My parents worked outside of the home for the majority of most days. There was no real talk growing up about my future or college as neither of them had further education and truly, I do not know if they knew where to start on that type of advice. I am grateful for what they have taught me and I love them dearly but I always had a mindset that I would do things different if I had kids. I moved out at 17 and began my adult life. I had a big girl job at 17 making killer money and was able to keep that career until my first major life change.

Fast forward and I was blessed to have two gorgeous daughters. While their dad was not my life patner, he remains in their lives and we live very close to each other. It is not the perfect situation, but my girls are "thriving" in academics, sports and their emotional health.

After dating as a single mom with two very young daughters, I thought I had found a gem of a man that I could share my life with who also had showed me that he understood my passion for raising my kids and "allowed" me to stay at home with them! We moved in together and started our life! I soon become the PTA president, manager of their sports teams, I was able to cook all the time, which I love, and be available for my girls. It was everything I had dreamed of! Life was good, so I thought. As the kids became a little older and were in school full time, I expressed excitement to go back to work or even better yet back to school! I was denied that option many times and was made to believe that I did not "need" to work and was constantly asked who would take care of the house and the kids if I went back to work or school. The abuse began. It ony got worse. It began to escalate as I started to try to show independence. This is very difficult to explain to anyone who has not experienced it, but you become brainwashed and trapped and you tend to just go with the flow! I used my love for the gym and volunteering to remain out of the house as much as I possibly could but there was no way to escape. It became consistently worse and started to include physical abuse, sexual manipulation, financial restrictions, tracking devices and hidden cameras. I woke up one morning and a light bulb went off and I realized that I have to end this path of destruction! It became worse before it got better but, with the support of a couple really close friends, we had a plan. My daughters were behind me and knew that I would do everything I could to get them away from the monster. After 22 physical attacks, I finally had him arrested and he was charged. He plead no contest and even though the punishment was not what I wanted, the freedom to start a new life was!

Fast forward again, after a lot of soul searching and therapy, I was able to go back to work but finding a good job that undrstood that I was a single mom was not easy! I started a few side hustles that made me enough money to survive but I wanted to THRIVE! I wanted to be able to still be at school drop off and pickup, still attend sporting events and be able to save money for their futures!

I was browsing my socials, as we all do probably way too much, and I started seeing pages about passive income. I did some reasearch and realized that this is EXACTLY what I need to be able to go from surviving the thriving. But I needed to be able to do it in my free time.

I then found digital marketing! I jumped in with this course and it has made an insane difference in my life! I wanted something that I could decide how much a worked and what times I worked with zero limit on the amount of income I could make. When you wake up to your first notification saying YOU GOT PAID, you will not be able to wipe the darn smile off your face! TRUST ME!

Trust me, IF I CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT!
